Sr. Director, Business
Development
AB
(Wuhan) Biotech has an ambitious business plan in
molecular diagnostic field and is seeking an exceptional
business development professional for the high
profile/high impact role of Senior Director, Business
Development. Working closely with senior business and
scientific management, the Sr. Director, Business
Development will leverage diagnostic industry experience
to identify partnerships, collaborations and execute
deals and maximize value of platform/technology. This
individual will be responsible for creating value from
AB (Wuhan) Biotech’s R & D platform and actively
identifying and prioritizing potential new partners for
collaborations.
Will
be responsible for developing marketing strategy for
companion diagnostic products with pharma impact using
product development and commercialization experience and
knowledge, as well as be responsible for providing
competitive intelligence in molecular diagnostic area
and will be involved in business development and
strategic planning activities for AB (Wuhan) Biotech’s
major ongoing efforts in diagnostics. The Sr.
Director, Business Development will also conduct market
research in support of the development of AB (Wuhan)
Biotech’s business strategies.
Requirements for this position include ten years
previous licensing/Business Development experience.
Direct experience in diagnostic industry required,
including demonstrated success in building business
relationships and establishing collaborations. This
position requires leveraging existing relationships in
the diagnostic industry to foster business
opportunities. Genomics and/or biology background
required. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis.
B.S. degree in life sciences required. Experience in a
GMP/QSR environment a plus.
Senior Scientist, Product Development
The
AB (Wuhan) Biotech is focused on discovery, development,
and commercialization of diagnostic products as well as
leveraging its proteomic, bioinformatic, and genomic
capabilities to identify and validate diagnostic targets
and bio-molecular markers. It seeks to advance its
diagnostic discoveries through partnerships with
technology and market leaders.
The
Senior Scientist at AB (Wuhan) Biotech supports
instrument evaluation and systems integration
activities, including hardware and software testing,
reliability testing and other system-wide studies.
Plans, conducts, and records results from complex
experiments within a specific established technology
area. Performs laboratory experiments following
company’s established protocols and procedures. Reports
status of assigned projects through the preparation of
detailed reports and documentation that summarize
experiment results and in compliance with AB (Wuhan)
Biotech's quality system. Interprets results of
experiments and makes recommendations for improvements.
Works on individual assignments, as a member of a
project team, or as a leader of small work groups on
segments of projects. Identifies problems and
investigates alternatives. Presents experimental results
to supervisor or project team members and contributes
ideas to improve team processes. Follows recommended
courses of action. Assist in preparing articles and
reports for publication or presentation at scientific
meetings or to customers. Responsibilities include
supporting and complying with the company's hazardous
waste management program, including following safe,
hazardous waste handling practices. Utilizes current
field-specific core technologies and approaches to
problem solving. Contributes ideas for new product
development typically within existing markets.
Requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through
the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree
(B.A./B.S.) in Biology, Biochemistry or related
scientific discipline. Master's Degree (M.A./M.S.)
preferred. Typically requires at least three (3) years
of prior relevant experience often acquired in an
academic or industrial environment with a Master's
degree, or at least five (5) years of relevant
experience with a Bachelor's degree. This level serves
as entry level for PhD candidates without significant
work experience. Experience in diagnostic
instrumentation or analytic chemistry is required.
Experience with FDA-regulated systems development and
testing.
Assistant Scientist, Research
The
Assistant Scientist at AB (Wuhan) Biotech will perform
production-scale discovery research experimentation
working in a Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMS) controlled environment. This Scientist will
follow defined procedures in a repetitive fashion.
Document results and conducts basic data analysis. Test
raw materials and supplies for application in the
production platform. Work as a member of a team to meet
department and project objectives. Interact with members
of the LIMS development team to provide feedback on LIMS
tools to facilitate increased productivity. May be
requested to present oral presentations regarding
processes and results to other team members. Exercise
judgment within defined procedures incorporating guided
decision-making or specific instructions. Understand
individual impact to department workflow and Discovery
Research deliverables and developing an understanding of
company industry and products.
Requires
knowledge and skills usually acquired through the
successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.)
in Biology, Biochemistry or related scientific
discipline or equivalent. Typically requires minimum of
one to three years (1-3 years) of previous experience
which may be acquired in an academic setting, part-time
job, internship, or industrial work performed as a lab
technician. A Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) may substitute
for experience.
